Each year, organizations striving for excellence pursue state and national quality awards as benchmarks of their efforts – and as a catalyst to continuously improve their organizations. Join us to learn from healthcare organizations that have embarked upon this quality journey and the impact on their people, cost, quality, and outcomes. A variety of sessions will be available targeting topics such as:
- Overview of using the Baldrige criteria as framework
- What the PE journey means to me – hearing from National and State Award winners and those on the journey/using criteria

excellence programs (state and national levels) and the Baldrige Criteria.
Session 2: Performance Excellence Journey and the Impact on Healthcare
Organizations

Learn from healthcare organizations at different stages along their
performance excellence journey – selecting the criteria, assessing the
organization, identifying improvements, and applying for state or national
recognition. Opportunities for additional performance excellence related
member networking and knowledge sharing will also be explored.

Corporate leadership council presents: Attracting and retaining critical talent segments

Open to all Premier HR members. The Corporate Leadership Council is a membership organization for senior executives with a shared commitment to steward enterprise-wide human resources management. Participants will review the Council's most recent research exploring how companies are fundamentally rethinking their workforce staffing strategies and becoming much more proactive in targeting and accessing scarce talent pools. The session will provide a new framework for understanding how the employment value proposition (EVP) attracts candidates and builds commitment, and examines how to effectively design and segment the EVP. Open to all Premier members. Join your clinical peers who are also responsible for value analysis, on-track implementation and new product introductions, for a facilitated networking session to share strategies, tools and processes. Zen commute - Turning your travel time into a journey toward personal enlightenment
Thursday, June 21, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Speaker: Tim Glennon, GNYHA
A wine and cheese learning event open to all attendees - space is limited to 100 persons. Tim Glennon is back by popular demand in this stimulating and enlightening session. Tim will follow up on his previous "Zen in Leadership" and "Habit Patterns of Excellence" sessions to identify simple but powerful techniques to turn commuting time into an opportunity for meditation, growth, and personal and professional development. Principals of Zen philosophy will be reviewed, and simple meditation techniques taught and practiced. Participants will learn the power and importance of individual choice and present-moment awareness. Attendees also will be introduced to the 31 "Zen Commute Signposts" that can be used to positively focus daily activity throughout the month, every day of the year. Contact: Allison Golding
Premier Lawson User Group meeting/Wine and cheese reception
Thursday, June 21 5-7 p.m.
Lawson users only. The Premier-Lawson User Group is composed of supply chain professionals from Premier institutions that use Lawson Software as their primary supply chain application. The group utilizes a number of communication vehicles, including scheduled conference calls, WebEx presentations, e-mail list-serve, member presentations on best practices, and a Web site, to help members use the software most efficiently to better support supply chain processes. The group also assists Lawson Software in identifying and prioritizing software requests, and developing and testing software enhancements. During this session, attendees will network and learn from Lawson Software representatives, who will share current developments, and Premier members, who will offer presentations on best practices.
