Meet Premier’s New CEO

During the Alliance Update on Wednesday, learn about Premier’s progress in creating solutions which will help you to transform healthcare. At this time, retiring CEO Rick Norling will pass the torch to Premier’s new CEO, Susan DeVore. Learn how we are working to strengthen the Premier healthcare alliance on your behalf.

Awards Ceremony

Each year, Premier seeks to recognize high-performing organizations – including members and suppliers – across the nation with a series of awards. The outstanding work of these organizations will be recognized throughout Breakthroughs, and will be highlighted at our Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Awards include: Award for Quality, Supply Chain Excellence Award, Supply Chain Innovation Award, Supplier Pinnacle Award, Supplier Performance Award, Supplier Polaris Award, Supplier Diversity Award, Member Diversity Award, QUEST Award and AEIX Risk Management Award.

Foodservice Forum

A key component of the Breakthroughs Conference each year, the Foodservice Forum is designed exclusively for hospital foodservice representatives. Forum attendees will hear from colleagues and industry experts on issues of critical importance to them. Forum participants are also invited to the Culinary Creations Awards event, during which Premier will be presenting the coveted 2009 Illuminating Excellence Award.

Turn on Transformation: Networking with a Purpose

Thursday, June 18

6:00-9:00 p.m.

Connect and engage with peers, guests, suppliers, speakers and staff at this special event designed to close the main meeting with a focus on interaction and social responsibility. To be held on Thursday evening, June 18 at the Marriott hotel, this event offers you an opportunity to eat, unwind and re-energize while giving back to the community. A number of activities are being planned that will feed the need to be socially responsible. We hope that this event will help you to head home filled with rekindled passion for creating healthy communities. This event is open to all registered conference attendees - indicate your participation on the registration form. Conference guests – at least 21 years of age – may attend for a fee of $150 which also includes access to trade show luncheon food functions on Wednesday and Thursday.

Rise ‘n’ Shine responsibly – 5k run/walk

Friday, June 19

5:45-7:00 a.m.

Before you head home on Friday, we invite you to participate in this popular 5k event which offers an added socially responsible benefit this year. Premier will donate $25 on behalf of each participant to a sanctioned local charity. Aid stations offer refreshments all along the way. Open to all conference attendees at no fee. You’ll support a worthy cause and be showered and changed in time to participate in Topic Tables which begin at 8 a.m. Indicate your participation when you register.
