More than 400 Premier-contracted suppliers participated in the trade show exhibition this year. Supplier representatives were available over extended lunch periods on both Wednesday and Thursday of the conference and discussed issues, introduced innovations and answered specific questions on product and service solutions. Foodservice Forum vendors and diversity vendors were featured in special sections of the show floor. We thank the suppliers for their participation as the fees they pay make this conference possible.

Innovation Celebration: Glimpse the future
With just as much energy and excitement to rival last year’s inaugural affair, Premier's second annual Innovation Celebration gave alliance members a glimpse into healthcare's future with a showcase of supplier ingenuity. Prepare to be amazed and enlightened at this welcome reception to the 2010 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition, June 8 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The 23 of the latest advancements in healthcare that were showcased were selected by Premier members from more than 140 applicants. Members had a chance to connect with the developers of healthcare’s newest innovative products and solutions - including products addressing infection control and cost containment associated with catheters; a system of badges and sensors that audibly alerts caregivers to wash their hands before treating a patient; a mobile software solution delivering critical medical information, including fetal heartbeat and maternal contraction patterns, directly from hospital monitors to physicians' smart phones; an interactive television system supporting patient education, entertainment and requests; and a greener solution for preparing infectious waste for the regular landfill.
