Jeff Lemkin is Premier's general counsel. Prior to joining Premier, he fulfilled the role of general counsel for Premier externally while a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP (MWE). While at MWE, Jeff represented Premier in a wide range of matters and had an active role with the Premier Board of Directors.
As a member of MWE's health department, Lemkin has represented clients on a wide variety of issues, including the development and implementation of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and alternative delivery systems and physician practice management. He has practiced health law since 1972.
Lemkin has lectured for a number of organizations, including the American Hospital Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is a past president of the California Society of Healthcare Attorneys.
Lemkin graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law and was editor of the Law Review. He also received an A.B. degree from Bowdoin College and an MA degree from Northwestern University.
