What is Premier looking for in a Cares Award recipient?
Cares Award entries are evaluated using a distinct set of criteria, which are outlined on the entry form. Clear, strong outcomes that demonstrate health improvement are the most heavily weighted of the award criteria. Judges are looking for organizations that can show true health status improvement for the targeted population for two or more years, as well as projects that could be replicated in other areas with similar positive results.
How long should our Cares Award entry be?
Guidelines for the length and content of each application section are specified on the entry form.
How are the Cares Award entries judged?
Each year, Premier receives hundreds of Cares Award entries. Entries are first screened to identify omissions that would disqualify them. Next, all qualified entries are reviewed by a panel of healthcare marketing and communications professionals, who select a strong group of semi-finalists. Finally, a panel of judges composed of leaders from many segments of society reviews and scores the semi-finalist entries.
