Premier honors contracted suppliers whose performance exceeds member expectations
Thirteen companies receive Premier’s Pinnacle Awards,
40 companies receive Performance Award recognition
ORLANDO, FLA. (June 22, 2007) – Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P., today announced the winners of its second annual Pinnacle Award at the 2007 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference & Exhibition. The 13 contracted suppliers embody supplier performance that meets or exceeds the expectations of Premier and its members as they carry out their missions of meeting the healthcare needs of communities they serve.
Pinnacle Award winners are Aesculap, Inc.; Applied Medical Distribution Corporation; BIOTRONIK, Inc.; Dade Behring, Inc.; Edwards Lifesciences; Fisher HealthCare, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific; Medline Industries, Inc.; MEDRAD, Inc.; Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics (f.k.a. Bayer HealthCare, LLC, Diagnostics Division); Ricoh Americas Corporation, formerly Lanier Worldwide, Inc.; Steelcase Inc.; Sysmex America, Inc.; and U.S. Foodservice. Aesculap, Dade Behring, Fisher HealthCare, Medline, Steelcase and Sysmex America are two-time winners.
In addition, another 40 contracted suppliers were recognized for their performance efforts with Premier’s Performance Award. (The companies are listed at the end of the release.)

Based on performance data collected during the year and shared with contracted suppliers through Premier’s supplier quality and business line review process, the annual awards are designed to align contracted supplier performance to meet or exceed Premier’s and its members’ expectations on a consistent basis. Of Premier’s 800 contracted suppliers, 400 med/surg and capital and 200 foodservice contracted suppliers were reviewed.
Pinnacle Award objectives are to support and enhance relationships with contracted suppliers, improve communication, support attainment of mutual goals, drive contract utilization, improve both members’ and suppliers’ financial performance and to provide unsurpassed clinical and financial value for members.
