Premier healthcare alliance experts to present at national events in June
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 1, 2009) – Leaders from the Premier healthcare alliance will speak around the country in June, sharing insights regarding health plan claims data technology, as well as effective healthcare organizational leadership as defined by Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria.
Rick Norling, president and CEO, will participate in a panel discussion on creating an effective institutional system framework within a healthcare organization at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Improvement/Action (IMPACT) Leadership Meeting on June 2 in Detroit. The discussion will be based on Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria. Premier received the award in 2006, and Sharp HealthCare, a Premier alliance member, was awarded the Baldrige Award in 2008.
Additionally, on May 18, Frank R. Ernst, PharmD, MS, senior research scientist, discussed linking a multihospital database to health plan claims data for continuum of care outcomes research at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Conference in Orlando, Fla.
