Premier Insurance Management Services announces new captive management offerings to help organizations with captives control costs, reduce risk and improve patient safety

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 19, 2009) – Premier Insurance Management Services, Inc. (PIMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Premier healthcare alliance, announced that it is offering new captive insurance management, claim management and risk management consulting services. These services will help Premier members manage the costs associated with healthcare liability and litigation to improve the quality of clinical care, reduce risk exposure, lower liability-related costs and operate alternative risk financing facilities.

Additionally, PIMS offers claim metrics benchmarking analysis, allowing for participants to compare themselves against the historical results of other systems. PIMS also offers all captive insurance management services as a third party administrator on an unbundled basis.
