Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition
Held June 10 - 13 in Nashville, TN, Premier's 2008 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition was a huge success! With well over 3100 attendees, including almost 1600 Premier members, this meeting provided the best knowledge sharing opportunities in the industry. Attendees gathered with peers from over 1000 organizations, hundreds of suppliers of healthcare products and services, industry experts and Premier staff to share ideas and strategies that will have an immediate impact on strategic operations and outcomes. The commitment to transforming healthcare was evident!
Our goal was to highlight innovation and to provide information and insights enabling organizations to shine through their patient care and business management efforts. Conference attendees were able to share in many pre-sessions, breakfasts and ancillary events; a number of committee and task force meetings; eight general sessions; more than 80 concurrent sessions; and a trade show featuring more than 400 exhibitors. Other conference features included cyber spots; group training sessions and hands-on instructions on Premier tools (Computer Lab/Premier Academy); specific areas for solutions-oriented interaction with attendees (Premier Village/trade show); and numerous formal and informal opportunities to network and share knowledge (education sessions, receptions, lunches, Wednesday evening networking function, breaks, etc.).
In addition to the plethora of knowledge shared in all areas of healthcare, Premier's Breakthroughs Conference honored over 70 members and suppliers with awards for their commitment to improving healthcare in America. Together, with these outstanding organizations, Premier will reach its goal of transforming the face of healthcare as we know it.
