QUEST 2009

Designed to springboard hospitals to new levels of performance, QUEST is a voluntary, three-year project with 166 not-for-profit hospitals – urban and rural, teaching and non-teaching, large and small – representing 31 states.

Early results are showing great promise for QUEST’s impact on hospital performance and future role in shaping value-based purchasing. Building upon the momentum created through QUEST’s charter members, Premier will target additional hospitals for a limited number of new QUEST memberships.

Learning and sharing proven success stories is incredibly valuable, and over the coming years, QUEST will enable new members, through collaboration with other progressive healthcare organizations, to realize significant value and improvement in quality, efficiency and safety. QUEST 2009 participants will benchmark performance against the baseline performance established by current program participants, working with mentors from this charter group who can share what they have learned to date.

Why are we expanding QUEST?

We want to build on the QUEST success story. One of the goals for the QUEST program has always been to provide an expanding framework for thought leadership, advocacy and improved patient care. QUEST at its core is a clinical collaborative designed to drive significant improvements in healthcare performance. Adding to our pool of performance leaders will further enable that goal.

Premier Healthcare Informatics Program Directors are available to meet to discuss the specific requirements of participation for QUEST 2009 members. The next QUEST national meeting will be held at Premier’s Breakthroughs Conference in June.
