Premier EPP-green catalog
Finding EPP-green products, services and suppliers
Introduction
Premier continues to be an environmental leader in the healthcare industry, being named a "Champion for Change" award recipient by Practice Greenhealth nine years in a row – for its commitment to environmentally preferable purchasing (EPP) and healthcare practices.
As part of Premier’s sourcing process, information on "green" and environmentally preferable products, packaging, services, and suppliers is gathered and shared with members in the Supply Chain Advisor catalog (SCA). Selected information on contracts and suppliers is also posted on the Safety Institute web site.

Premier has enhanced its Supply Chain Advisor (SCA), electronic catalog to more easily identify green and environmentally preferred purchasing (EPP) products through key word search capabilities such as compostable, organic, energy-efficient, and recycled. Designated "EPP-green" contracts are identified with a "green" leaf icon.

In response to requests from our members, we are gathering more detailed product information to include in our electronic catalog to help members identify suppliers and products with “ green-environmental attributes."
Premier recognizes contracted suppliers with environmentally preferable products
Premier uses a green leaf icon to tag "environmentally preferable contracts" from contracted suppliers in its electronic catalog for members,
Supply Chain Advisor. These contracts have products or services with environmentally preferable attributes that reduce the negative impact on the quality and health of the environment and consider, for example, the product materials, potential toxicity, production, packaging, reusability, energy efficiency, disposal, nationally recognized certification, or its impact on the environment.
Premier recommends that members contact suppliers for additional details and assistance with product selection. Premier also posts a list of Contracted Suppliers with EPP products on our publicly accessible Safety Institute Website.
To provide the environmental attributes of your contracted products or services, please download and complete the EPP data form/worksheet and return it via Email to epp_program@premierinc.com. Feel free to include any other applicable EPP information as it pertains to your company or contracted products/services.
Thank you for your help.
