About the Premier Safety Institute®

Thank you for visiting the Safety Web site, a publicly accessible resource from the Premier Safety Institute. The Web site is designed to provide safety resources and tools to promote a safe healthcare delivery environment for patients, workers, and their communities. The Premier Safety Institute Web Site has had more than 5 million visitors since it was launched in June of 2001.
The Premier Safety Institute is part of Premier, a healthcare alliance of more than 2,300 U.S. hospitals and 64,000 other healthcare sites working together to improve healthcare quality and affordability.
Established in 1999, the Institute coordinates safety-related activities among national organizations, Premier members, our business units, our contracted suppliers, and the community. In addition, the Institute is a regular contributor of articles in the medical/hospital literature. See list of recent publications.

The information on our Web site is developed and updated frequently by a professional team with a combined experience of close to 100 years in healthcare.
