Register now for 2005 NPSF Congress:
May 4-6, Orlando

The National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) will host the Seventh Annual Patient Safety Congress, "Let's get on with it!" The meeting will be held May 4-6, 2005, at the Orlando (FL) World Center Marriott Resort. The 2005 Congress will focus on critical improvements that save lives and reduce harm. More than 80 sessions along 10 tracks will highlight effective implementation of programs that result in cultural change and sustained improvement.

Executive Leadership Day

An Executive Leadership Day for healthcare executives, co-sponsored by the Healthcare Leadership Alliance, will kick off the Congress on May 4. This special program will feature the Harvard Business School case study approach to provide practical advice about achieving safety improvements in high-leverage areas.

Register by March 31 and save $150.

IHI patient safety mini-course

A special May 4 mini-course, hosted by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), will focus on strategies and tools to improve safety in high-risk areas.

ISMP/HRET Pathways to Medication Safety
- A "train-the-trainer" course

The Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) and the AHA's Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) are offering a special May 4 "train-the-trainer" course, "Pathways to Medication Safety." It will feature practical applications and use of tools for strategic planning, risk assessment, and bar code readiness.
