Register for 2004 Quality Colloquium, a safety, error reduction education opportunity set for August 22-25

Plan now to participate in one of the nation's preeminent national safety conferences - the 2004 Quality Colloquium - August 22-25, on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Premier Inc. joins the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP), the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the National Quality Forum (NQF) and others in sponsoring this conference.

Now in its fourth year, the Quality Colloquium is an executive education course on patient safety, healthcare quality enhancement and the reduction of medical errors, as well as addressing issues of healthcare policy and practice.

The four-day conference includes keynote addresses by Susanne Stoiber, M.S., executive officer, Institute of Medicine, and Carolyn M. Clancy, M.D., director, AHRQ.

Among the featured faculty will be Stephanie C. Alexander, senior vice president/general manager, Healthcare Informatics, Premier, who will discuss "Pay for Performance as a Lever for Healthcare Quality" during a special forum on "Turning the Ocean Liner - Hospital Financial Incentives." Other featured speakers include Dennis S. O'Leary, M.D., president, JCAHO, as well as prominent individuals from the AHRQ, the Health Technology Center, The Leapfrog Group, the National Patient Safety Foundation, NQF, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Baldridge National Quality Program.

Agenda

The Quality Colloquium will be held in Harvard University's Annenberg Hall, and continuing education credits have been approved by several recognized professional organizations. Colloquium special sessions will include the following:
