Premier emergency preparedness task force
Suppliers, members and staff share learnings at kickoff meeting on June 15th
On Thursday June 15, 2006, Premier led an initial meeting of the Premier force. The 45 attendees represented 13 Premier contracted suppliers, eight Premier member hospitals (Touro Infirmary, Terrebone General, Harris County Hospital District, GNYHA, Florida Hospital, St Luke's Episcopal, MD Anderson, and Mississippi Baptist) and six Premier Staff, including Task Force Chair, David Edwards, along with Andy Brailo, David Shimberg, Gina Pugliese, Leigh Ann Myers and Karen Kolbusz. The goal was to share best practices and learnings from Katrina so Premier can proactively prepare for future emergencies and minimize supply chain disruptions. A DVD of the meeting is available.
