CDC workbook for designing, implementing, and evaluating a sharps injury prevention program
The CDC workbook includes several sections that describe each of the organizational steps and operational processes. A toolkit of forms and worksheets is included to help guide program development and implementation. The workbook also contains:

BD provides a healthcare worker safety site that includes continuing education programs and a kit designed to assist in OSHA compliance. The kit includes a videotape and book on implementing a sharps injury prevention program, the complete 70-page OSHA Compliance Directive, OSHA’s Model Exposure Control Plan, CDC/NIOSH Needlestick Alert, checklist for exposure prevention, white paper on sharps injury epidemiology, summary of selected research studies on device efficacy, Web directory, posters and product evaluation tools.
