SEEDS - Sourcing Education and Enrichment for Diverse and Small Suppliers – is an enhancement to Premier's supplier diversity program that aims to increase the number of minority-, women-, veteran-owned and small business enterprises doing business with Premier alliance members.
Growing at your own pace
The SEEDS program lends support to diverse and small business enterprises that enables them to grow at a pace that is commensurate with their existing business infrastructure, i.e., local, regional to national sales capabilities. Moreover, the program provides contracted suppliers with experienced resources and educational tools. These tools are intended to assist our suppliers in gaining contract sales with our members and building long term relationships across the Premier healthcare alliance.

- Coaching and mentoring
- Stair-stepped approach to contracting
- Assistance in how to work with the member hospitals and distributors to achieve local, regional and national distribution capabilities
- Business educational tools
Getting started
The SEEDS program is open to diverse and small business suppliers who meet the industry certification criteria.
- Suppliers register their product(s) and initiate interest in SEEDS via the Supplier Portal
- Suppliers receive a confirmation e-mail verifying their registration and interest in the SEEDS program
- Suppliers reply to this confirmation e-mail if they would like to be considered for the SEEDS program
- The SEEDS program director follows up with the prospective SEEDS participants within seven days
