Dr. Andrew Ziskind is senior vice president of Premier Inc.’s academic health system strategy. He is partnering with academic health systems to drive performance, achieve top cost and quality outcomes, and power their population health success. Ziskind’s expertise includes analytics-driven change management, hospital and health system physician alignment, and clinical transformation.
Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, Ziskind has more than 25 years of experience in clinical care and academic health system leadership. He has developed and led innovative primary care and specialty delivery systems that span both academic medical centers and community hospitals, and has diverse expertise in accountable care, payment reform and population health management initiatives.
Prior to joining Premier, Ziskind held senior executive roles at Huron Consulting Group and Accenture, and was recognized as one of the top 25 most influential consultants by Consulting Magazine. His career has included serving as vice dean for clinical affairs and health system vice president at the University of Washington and as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital and group president at BJC Healthcare.
A graduate of Bowdoin College, Ziskind earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and his master’s of business administration from Loyola College of Maryland. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Massachusetts General Hospital.
