Eric J. Bieber, MD
Member Director, President & CEO, Rochester Regional Health System
Dr. Eric J. Bieber has served as a member of the board of directors of Premier since June 2015 and has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rochester Regional Health System since November 2014. From 2010 until November 2014, he served in several roles at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, and most recently was the President of Community Hospitals West Region and President of University Hospitals Accountable Care Organizations.
Prior to his time at University Hospitals, Dr. Bieber served in various positions with Geisinger Health Systems in Danville, Pennsylvania, from 2001 to 2009, including Chief Medical Officer at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, and Chairman and Medical Director of Women’s Health. Since May 2016, Dr. Bieber has served as a member of the board of governors of the Greater New York Hospital Association Inc. (GNYHA).
Clinically, Dr. Bieber was an obstetrician/gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist. Dr. Bieber received a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine. He also holds a master’s degree in microbiology from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in healthcare management from Harvard University.
