The Charlotte Business Journal: The true value of wearable technology and the data it collects is still to be seen. It is the first patient-collected information that will be included in medical charts, says Keith Figlioli, senior vice president of healthcare informatics at Premier. It’s a big first step. But key questions remain once the data is collected: How does that data matter? Do physicians have time to use it? Is it clinically relevant? “I think the wearables side of the equation is trying to find its place,” Figlioli says. “It all comes down to how fast can the health systems digest that.”
