Statement on Home Health Final Rule

Innovatix, a Premier company, has long advocated for comprehensive home infusion reform. We were a leading advocate, along with the home infusion industry, to pass the temporary home infusion services reimbursement law this past February. We are extremely disappointed that CMS is moving forward with its proposal in the final home health rule to restrict payment to “the day on which home infusion therapy services are furnished by skilled professionals in the individual’s home.”

As we, hundreds of stakeholders and over 40 members of Congress conveyed to CMS, this policy runs counter to congressional intent and the way infusion therapies are delivered in the home. This rule will severely compromise the government’s overall goals of moving high quality patient care to the most clinically appropriate and less expensive care settings.

We will continue to work with CMS and Congress to address this misguided policy to ensure continued access to treatment for vulnerable patients.
