Premier congratulates hospitals across the nation for improving patient safety by focusing on efforts to reduce hospital-acquired conditions – contributing to 8,000 lives and $2.9 billion saved from 2014-2016, according to a recent AHRQ report. Hospitals in both Premier’s Hospital Improvement Innovation Network and QUEST2020™ quality improvement collaborative are continuously exceeding patient safety and outcomes performance levels. In fact, QUEST2020 hospitals performed approximately 23 percent better in the FY18 CMS HAC Reduction Program. The accomplishments of Premier members, in particular, are helping to scale care transformation across the healthcare industry.
