Dr. May Pini, MD, MPH, is a Medical Oncologist, Internist and Principal with Premier’s Population Health Management Team. She has expertise in quality improvement, informatics and value-based care and payment models. Dr. Pini co-leads Clinical Transformation Advisory Services, and serves as a physician advisor and subject matter specialist for the consulting practice, Population Health Management Collaborative, Bundled Payment Collaborative-Oncology Care Model Cohort and other groups at Premier. Throughout her career, she has focused her work to understand gaps in quality of care, the impact of care delivery systems and processes on clinical outcomes and healthcare services utilization, and the sustainability of targeted performance improvement interventions to improve care.
Prior to joining Premier, Dr. Pini was Assistant Professor at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She received MD and MPH degrees from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Pini completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a post-doctoral fellowship in the Veterans Administration National Quality Scholars Program and a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System. At Premier, Dr. Pini served as Principal Data Scientist prior to her current role.
