Statement on Inauguration of President Biden and Vice President Harris

It is with great optimism that Premier congratulates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on being sworn in as the 46th President and 49^th Vice President of the United States. The American people have elected President Biden to lead our nation through a period of historic challenges. We stand ready to partner with our new President, his Administration and Congress to continue our work to reverse the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and make real progress on the critical healthcare issues that confront this nation.

We look forward to working with the Biden Administration to modernize our healthcare supply chain and public health data infrastructure to combat the current pandemic and future public health emergencies, continue the Affordable Care Act’s drive to value-based care and reduce barriers to provider access to electronic health record and claims data.

Working with more than 4,100 hospitals and 200,000 non-acute sites of care, Premier looks forward to advancing policies with the new administration to return our nation back to health, innovate healthcare delivery, improve quality and reduce healthcare costs for all Americans.
